Hedgerow Walk

Popped out to post a letter and as we are up a country lane had a snoop in the hedgerow. There are so many different colours and texture as well as the odd unusual grasses. My phone camera isn't powerful enough to pick up the smallest of plants and flowers, but the pics I have got are quite good for line and shape. It was such a peacefull stroll I love being outdoors.

In the garden

I love the colours and texture in the garden and pond at my parents house and I contemplating introducing the colours into my sketchbook. The Water Lilly looks gorgeous!

Edward Burtynsky Intelligent Photography

I say intelligent because so often we look only to the beautiful side of life and Edward Burtynskys work is recording the ugly industrialisation of our planet.

Mimi the Mini snow lady

It just wouldn't have felt right to let this snow pass and not have built a snowman, lol. The snow here has been beautiful, it's really soft and powdery. There's icicles to, a little bush between me and my neighbour is frozen solid. I've tried to take some photos to show the depth of the snow but they just don't do it justice. My little mobile phone camera has been brilliant for quick snaps but landscapes aren't that good. My mum & dad are out in the Breacon Beacons today and both have Canons so I'm really looking forward to seeing their photos!
